@retrofinds I tested it briefly, Comal was the programming language taught in schools back in the early 1990s when I went to school. Not in the C64 though, but this allowed trying it at home. I did have a disk version, though.
Americans: Some people are 'tired', 'undecided', and/or apathetic about this election.
At this point, most have no right NOT to care
You'll be affected, your friends will be affected, your families will be affected, those of us who have friends & family in the USA will be affected and so will we if that #OrangeFascist ( #BibiBabyKiller's favourite) gets elected
Addiction to not giving a fuck or 'I don't vote because___' or worse, 'Trump won't be that bad, this fascism concern is hyperbolic', AT THIS POINT IS DEADLY
Those whose families, friends were massacred bc of #BibiBabyKiller have every right not to have to wretch before casting their ballots if they choose to refuse
@jon@thomasp@Vivaldi I like the colours, not the shapes. Unfortunately, I can't draw or design if my life depended on it, so I'm stuck with using whatever themes are provided.
There's a reason why I write code and don't design UIs or web pages 🙂
Just upgraded to @Vivaldi version 7, and it seems they, too, have been afflicted by the "everything must be a flat border-radius rectangle" illness that is plaguing UIs these days.
#AskFedi I am looking for an #Android#AppSuggestion for a #PasswordVault, for storing credit card numbers and PIN codes etc, completely offline. It must store encrypted locally and NOT sync to an online service.
I have used #HandySafe Pro since the Symbian days, but it had been discontinued and does not support modern Android versions. It had a Win/macOS counterpart for sync/backup.
@Nihils Yes, defaults matter (ext4 now more than ext3). RHEL defaults to xfs, for some reason (and since it has worked at $DAYJOB, we kept xfs after switching to Ubuntu, even if the installer touts ext4).
Back to my failing harddisks, I have now realized that doing backups with rsync --delete isn't that good when the source is a slowly degrading file system. Seems I lost some digital photos from 10+ years ago.
