The train has a seating capacity of about 300 (4 coaches with 68 seats each plus there's a small business-class section in the cafe car), so reaching the latter number would require significant turnover (which can happen quite a lot with people using shorter segments)

Aha! There's (now?) an option to queue new posts behind a clickable item at the top of your Mastodon feed on the standard web interface, rather than having things suddenly scroll by while you're just sitting there.
