Everyone's counting on the X-Men being able to right the MCU's ship but frankly the clumsiness of Phase 4/5's political commentary should be a canary in the coal mine on how the mutant metaphor will be handled by Disney and that makes the hamfisted rush by the comics with Amazing Spider-Man #26/Fallen Friend/Hellfire Saga to synergize with the MCU all the more tragic.
