I know it is hard to achieve, but C is not that hard language, tooling and lack of documentation makes it much less accessible.

@nerdtronics BSD systems have excellent documentation compared to gnu/linux. I think only Debian has good documentation and even a free book, but overall Debian itself is much more complex that bsd, so you are forced to learn more than you might need.
