Incredibly based of the #Python Foundation.

They were effectively awarded a $1.5 million grant from the federal government and when presented with the requirements to cease their DEI efforts, declined the grant.

There’s so much going on and we’re all so busy.

But we’re never too busy to meticulously color-code our #TapestryApp feeds to match their respective icons and logos.

Don’t let this get lost in the blind rage of it all. The executive order re: #DEI mentions the removal and erasure of accessibility measures *by name* in the body of the text.

When we say “The UX sucks for normal people.” it’s not because we all want our grandma on here.

It’s because our favorite F1 drivers (as an example) will probably never be on here until the content teams that represent them can get their boss’s boss’s boss to approve it, which would probably require *them* using it.

I feel like this is a dynamic we all “see” every day without realizing it.

When we’re like “Why isn’t my favorite [show, store, band, etc.] on Fedi?” the answer is probably that they’re owned by a company that is owned by a company that is owned by a company that has to vet every single platform them they use and explicitly allow them.

I would really love to see #Mastodon add public lists, especially with RSS. I have a #WebDev list and it would be so nice to 1) share it with others and 2) follow it via RSS.

We talk a lot about the federation of Threads but it is incredible what @Flipboard has managed to do. A #fediverse app is literally an Editor’s Choice in the App Store because of the work they are doing.
