@thomasfuchs I think youre just being argumentative for the sake of it in this case, I was saying the same thing as you. step one is join an instance. Cant remove that step. Follow 100 people is the only thing that made mastodon useable for me. Cant remove that step.

@thomasfuchs good grief. Ive had five people this same week tell me they dont get how to use mastodon and are flummoxed when I say, theres two steps, sign up for a large obvious instance, then follow 100 people. the rest is as you like and you can change it later.

@thomasfuchs Its not okay and shouldnt be encouraged but at the same time real people think you can heal cancer with magic rocks. And thats not even a recent thing thats been around for literal decades with people making up clinics and credentials for their bs.
