Still... Better than only a couple of hours in a 24-hour period.

Which means I'll be wide awake till tomorrow late afternoon, at least.

I used a different bike.

The MTB with the clacking noise got fixed. The mechanic said it was the headset. He checked and tightened it. 😃👍

Didn't get any #sleep last night. But I felt fine, so...

Went riding with the big boys + 2 ladies today. I don't really know these people. And I didn't know the final destination was a restaurant with 1 of the guys buying brunch for everyone. It's his birthday. 🍜🥟☕ Seems they regularly ride together so they kinda know each other. But not me. Oh dear. 🫣

I rode 51 km in total. A lot of climbs. That's just #CityRiding! 😵💫

Made it home just as my #eBike's battery level was hitting red. Whew! 😳

I got a new early bird #breakfast stop, on the other side of the great grey concrete river that is EDSA.

Manual pedaling at the veterans compound, then easy pedal-assisted city riding the rest of the way -- I refuse to be cruel to myself. 🤪

Over 16km and 1 hour-ish before breakfast. I'm quite pleased with myself. And now, I ride home... 🏠🚴♀️

They're disc brakes. The brakes do work. It's just that pulling hard on the front one is making that noise.

I'll have to take it back to the shop one of these days. 😕

Big Bike ⚪🚲 is getting hydraulic brakes!

It had mechanical brakes and the front brake pad was already getting worn. I take it as a sign. Time to upgrade. 😉

So I just upgraded to hydraulic* brakes and discovered that when I squeeze on the front brake there's this sound. #bikes #bicycles #eBikes #MTB #eMTB

If I squeeze just lightly it's fine, no noise. The rear brake doesn't make any noise at all.

I messaged the shop and they think it's because the pads are new and say that it'll eventually go away.

I've only ever used mechanical* disc brakes before so I have no idea. 🤷♀️ #EducateMePlease

Dropped Li'l Blue 🔵🚲 off at the #IGH doctor... um, mechanic. 🔧

Had to drive to #Marikina since he's the only mechanic I know who does internal gear hubs. He comes highly recommended so it was worth the trip. It seems Li'l Blue was downshifting while on ⚙️2. Also the rear tire is flat. Instead of trying to fix that myself I just added it to the repairs to do. 🤭

I've never fixed a flat before. I understand the process but I've never attempted it myself. 🤪 #bikes #bicycles #cycling #JapanSurplus
