This year, give your loved ones the gift of not being tracked for ad targeting for every little thing you do on your computer.
@housepanther Weird. I just tried it again and got my original response.
I asked #Bing if Bing is reliable.

@yuvipanda Indeed - and trying to *not* make my test code look like this :-)
@yuvipanda Also, one of the hub endpoints we're testing returns a 202 response code. You see those about as often as a $2 bill.
@derekmceachern @mhamzahkhan Yup. There's a bit of schadenfreude to it, for sure. Though to be clear, what Hashicorp did was definitely more egregious and I hope that those who feel that way about Red Hat's move won't give Hashicorp a pass either. There are a lot of other open source projects who have been using Hashicorp stuff in good faith that definitely didn't deserve this kind of disruption.
@mhamzahkhan It's not an open source compatible license, so it categorically breaks downstream open source code. Red Hat will have to remove it from Openshift, for example.
If I'm out driving my 41 year old, naturally aspirated diesel, I can assure you that no matter how fast your BMW or Tesla can accelerate, my Mercedes is probably floored right now and you tailing me won't make it go any faster.
@mairin I'd like to know what it's like using open source tools in a field that is still so predominantly proprietary heavy (Adobe, Apple, etc.), as well as advice for using and advocating for open source tools in that space.
From back in the day when they weren't skimpy on ports and optical drives were ubiquitous.
Just pulled a box from the e-waste bin that has PS/2 and 9-pin serial ports. If it boots, we'll see if #Linux or #BSD can give it a new purpose.
I would like to personally thank #Hashcorp for providing the final push I needed to finally replace the remaining #Terraform stuff in our infrastructure. #opensource

Looking for a #yaml diff tool that spits out valid yaml but only including the parts where there are differences between the two. I have some helm chart values yaml files that have gotten unnecessarily verbose. #Programming #kubernetes #helm
I can probably write a python program to do this fairly quickly ๐ค
@chris Writing it and wanting to maintain it are two separate things ๐
I just want to clearly say that the #Fedora telemetry discussions are not a "Red Hat conspiracy". I know tensions are understandably high right now, but this is legitimately a proposal and unlike most changes in RHEL, there actually is an opportunity for community input, and not just for assent or dissent, but also alternatives ideas for improvement.
I'm sure Red Hat laying off several community managers and community involved people had no impact whatsoever on the recent tone deaf decisions/messaging around RHEL and their impact on the broader open source community.
