is there any way to begin to comprehend the widespread damage tech companies have done to the art community, or the psychological damage tech companies have done to writers and artists over the past several years; or are we exclusively going to try to reason around with the tedious, shuffling logics of copyrights and intellectual property?

has larry summers made any public statements in the past 4 or 5 years about AI harms or risks or anything like that? i'm just curious 👀

i think/write/talk about AI harms using historical & social lenses

a common refrain in tech is that <new thing> is novel and even incomparable to anything before it; i work to disprove that

in showing how we can frame gig work as piecework, or AIs as street-level bureaucrats, i try to plant seeds of resistance to ostensibly novel oppression rooted in familiar soil
