@DropBear We are already at the Catch-22 situation where the RBA models say we need MORE unemployment to drive down inflation and wages. To fix this they want to increase interest rates and slow down the economy.

I’m amazed we are continuing with AUKUS when the USA demonstrates its cowardice in Ukraine every day.
Imagine being dependent on the USA and having our weapons cut off because they forgot to arrange for more manufacturing when they have been at war for three years. Incompetence or deliberate.

It’s amazing that electricity companies keep raising the cost of electricity currently $0.35 per kilowatt hour yet their costs keep dropping to $0.004 per kilowatt hour. They are always crying poor and blaming renewables while making $0.346 per kilowatt hour.

In my situation the excess solar goes into the battery for overnight use, any further excess goes into the electric car to save on transportation costs. Soon more and more power will be behind the meter and the grid will be only used by the disadvantaged. The VPP was useless.

The last act of the Tory government in the UK was to sell #doctorwho to Disney. Now Disney is looking at cutting or seriously interfering with the show because the ratings were down.
The Australian#abc should buy the show and make it an Australian production. We are pretty good with long running soap operas.
