@efi@alilly Note contact dermatitis and (in rare cases) apparently angioedema can be caused by glasses frames. (https://progressive-glasses.com/can-you-be-allergic-to-glasses-frames/ is the only source I've found for the latter claim, but I haven't got where I am today by ignoring arbitrary websites run by total unknowns.)
@efi@alilly And many people have benign tumours that are not attacked by the immune system. If they don't self-destruct, it's only when they become a major threat / express foreign antigens that they're dealt with (afaik) (and even then, sometimes they're not).
@efi@alilly Cool robot parts have to be made carefully in order to stop the immune system from deciding they're foreign contaminants and DESTROYING THEM (often ineffectually, but with much collateral damage).
I believe there's also some research about teaching immune systems to recognise foreign tissue (e.g. transplanted organs) as their own, so immunosuppressants aren't needed.
@RobSalesforce The first one sounds illegal; you could just send a cease and desist.
For the second one, just talk to the admins. Admins are approachable on Fedi. (As such, this isn't actually a viable attack, and people don't do it.)
The only "cybersquatting" I've ever seen here is when somebody pretended to be Benjamin Netanyahu for a couple of weeks on one of the fascist instances; I think the motivation there was to prank people.
I like tools. Tools exist to serve a purpose; good tools serve many purposes. The purposes are the important part – but I'm no good at solving problems. I hope my tools will be enough.Testimonials from satisfied costumers: • "this pun is so fucking bad and i hate you for it" — @mikoIf I'm doing wrong, please tell me. Either I don't know (and you've saved everyone a lot of grief), or I do know (and I should face consequences).
