Republicans constantly refer to Dems as communists, child traffickers, demons, etc. and it’s a dog-bites-man thing. But it’s big news when a Dem occasionally says (or is misconstrued to say) that Trumpers are deplorable or garbage or whatever.

The obvious conclusion is that they should do so more often so the novelty wears off.

Almost all of the small number of cases of actual voter fraud are perpetrated by right-wingers who've drunk the kool aid and believe that they're just fighting fire with fire and also that they'll get away with it easily like Dems supposedly do.
