I've seen people concerned that the ongoing discussion of #facebook / #meta and #Project92 is going to be some kind of schism.
One thing people are worried about is the idea that admins who block Facebook will block servers that don't block Facebook. I've been following the conversation, largely from the #FediPact side but I haven't seen anyone planning to do that.
I did see an admin block a server run by someone they also disagreed with on this, but it wasn't the reason.
If you're hopping on a Lemmy (Fedi Reddit clone) server this weekend, don't be afraid to throw them a few euro for luck if you're in a position to do so.
It's how this site managed to stay up instead of falling over when it got busy.
"hey website, got any lamps" "yeah, here's one" "Oh that's quite nice" "EIGHT PEOPLE LOOKED AT IT RECENTLY" "what" "TEN PEOPLE HAVE BOUGHT IT" "why are you overlaying these messages on the picture of the nice lamp" "I'LL OVERLAY YOU ON THE BOTTOM OF A SIX FOOT HOLE IF YOU DON'T BUY THIS FUCKING LAMP NOW" "bit intense for lighting like" "FUCK YOU I SMASHED THE LAMP YOU CAN'T FUCKING HAVE IT NOW"
