At this point it does seem as if doing everything that is reasonably possible to ensure the life of the hostages is not the course taken. As of yesterday, Hamas reported 13 of them had already died under the rubble of the bombing. This is of course very ominus. I hope there is a sound reason for not hesitating with the retaliation.

I share your sentiments 100% George. I can also add that there is no end to the blame game. Yes, there is no absolute equivalency between both parties, but in order to achieve long lasting peace, the leaders of each side need to accept equally the following proclamation: Long live Israel, long live Palestine.
