@samhenrigold interestingly, I like the thinner one on a non-high-res image like this where I can see the pixels. But on a high-dpi display (which I'm almost always using) the macOS rendering wins every time.

Would be curious to see a rendering method that uses both subpixel-rendering (the blues and the reds) -and- gray anti-aliasing.

Started learning Rust again yesterday (I mostly have cobbled-together knowledge from forking other people’s code and have never built my own project). Really cool language but after using zig so much, having allocations be invisible makes reasoning about ownership so much harder despite there being a whole static ownership checker.

an important thing to understand about the fediverse's reply guys is that unlike the reply guys of old, they're largely a spineless and weak-willed lot and fold very rapidly under the slightest bit of pushback. like half of them are like "oh no!! I didn't mean to! I'm sorry!" and many others will just stop replying or block you

just figure it would save some effort on everyone’s part.

Gotta start self-identifying as an elitist more often since people seem perfectly happy to apply the label to me and my communities regardless of anyone says or does anyway
