it has started: first company i have to call because i cannot fill in their required data (they have only two gender options) :3
(in fact this made me realize a competitor has a slightly cheaper offer that does not require entering my gender! gonna call anyway because i love to make my problems other peoples' problems :D)
@kasdeya tbf, immortality would suck if you end up chained to a rock and a bird comes up to you every day and says "skill issue. skill issue. skill issue. give me your liver"
i had a problem. Needed to cuddle shork but also needed a free hand. Thankfully, by inserting shork into jacket, no hands are needed for shork support, and brushing teeth can happen with no problem!
(posted on a slight delay to avoid giving clues to my current location.)
So for understandability while i'm wearing a respirator (3M model 6300), i'm looking into throat microphones! Anyone on here have recommendations or opinions on this topic? :3
so i am doing the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory (COGIATI) test for fun (http://transsexual.org/cogiati/index.php?lang=en) and what the fuck do any of these questions have to do with gender?? it opens with the first question number 1: are you good at maths
like the Dutch gender tests are fucked up but not this bad
also uhh did these authors not know there are transmasc people?? like right at the start there's a question that's pretty much "where are you on the autogynephilic - homosexual trannsexual binary"
“Ethnic cleansing” is a term coined by the genocide perpetrators during the wars that led to the dissolution of Yugoslavia. The term derives from military terminology referring to the “cleaning” (čišćenje) of an area after a military operation. Propagandists added “ethnic”, creating the term “etničko čišćenje”, and the media, politicians, even academia and international organisations helped spread it and keep it alive.
i was very surprised that this term is new and yet became widely used. In my own view it is so transparent in implying that some ethnicities are "unclean" that it should obviously not be used. Call it genocide, don't use bad euphemisms.
i used to get annoyed at signoffs of the form "I have been Tom Scott, see you next time!". because "have been" is perfective, so it means you're no longer Tom Scott. it doesn't make sense!
i have decided to imagine they're plural and another headmate with a different name has switched in and now it makes sense!
Anyone happen to know if the Eurostar security checks at Brussels use a metal detector or backscatter X-ray? i will not say why i need to know this information 😇
