@gcvsa Haha. Yes, it's safer to get our daily hydration from anything but tap water in the Philippines. 😅

Even if the water is treated, the pipes might not be in good condition. Or, someone damaged a pipe somewhere, contaminants are getting into it, and usually only discovered if it finally bursts on the street. 😅

And there are condominiums and subdivisions who rarely checks their water tanks and pipes, and replace as necessary. I think it's safe to say, everyone expects no one drinks from tap water without boiling it first or using a filtration system at home.

There are a lot of factors to consider, it is actually safer to (1) buy bottled water; (2) boil the water; or (3) have a home filtration system.

Do I drink from public drinking fountains? I do, but I ask first or examine how well-maintained it is.

The reliance of banks in the #Philippines on the least secure OTP—SMS—makes me wonder how one can login, send money, or make payments, if you happen to be abroad. Forced to enable roaming and pay extra? 🤔

They don't necessarily need to monitor interactions immediately, what is important is you're establishing your account and presence, growing your follower count in the "new" network(s).
