@youronlyone For one I'm pretty sure think-tanks, if they're worth their salt, would dwell on more realistic scenarios.

This and that country having certain responses are normal, but they don't have to end up for the worse. Hindi dahil red alert, automatic gyera na agad ang kasunod.

Events have escalated into wars before. But they were not inevitable. On the reverse, think of other scenarios that could've been wider wars but didn't, like the assassination of Iran's Suleimani in 2020.

@youronlyone It's not being discussed because these examples in particular are just alarmist and frankly very "tinfoil hat" way of seeing geopolitics.

Treaties and alliances aren't absolute inevitabilities. States may or may not follow their commitments to the letter, and lots of improvisation happen from top to bottom of the political ladder.

Yes things are bad and can get worse. Likely. But the specific directions it will take are never 100% certain.

@youronlyone @pilipinas @philippines That doesn't make sense though. The point of having these stations is so you won't have to travel farther just to use the train. If they're low volume stations, it's good actually because they don't have to wait longer for passengers, but at least those passengers have a choice.

Removing this convenience just makes using private transport a more compelling option.

@youronlyone I've been here since 2020. I wasn't really big on decentralization, but Mastodon seemed a more privacy-oriented place to settle in, so I joined out of curiosity.

This place was quiet before the Twitter exodus in 2022, and now it's bustling and very active. I like it here a lot.
