#ArcaneByte#mac2lisa keyboard adapter. This allows me to use a Mac 128/512 or Plus keyboard with the #AppleLisaClone There’s also a version that has ADB but I decided to go with a Plus keyboard because it looks the part.
I'm falling down a rabbit hole learning how to use WinCUPL to program a GAL22V10 to replace the PROMs in the #AppleLisaClone. I think I have a PLD file created with the PROM contents but keep running out of product terms for one output. I guess this would require hand optimization to fit within the limits of the GAL.
Plugged in the 6309 “VSROM” emulator into the (original) CPU board of the #AppleLisaClone along with the two missing ROMs and the 68000. That completes this board.
Hopefully some more parts for the IO board will be arriving soon.
Since I’m impatient waiting for my boards to be delivered, I created a 27C512 EPROM to 6309 footprint adapter (more than just DuPont wires this time) for the #AppleLisaClone CPU card. It too reads fine in the EPROM burner, masquerading as a 6309 properly.
Let’s build up a two port parallel card for the #AppleLisaClone! I wasn’t expecting to build one of these, at least for a while but I accidentally ordered the parts for it (which was confusing at first, trying to find locations for mystery parts with no boards for it). 😅
I have one set of #AppleLisaClone boards for sale in the USA: the I/O board, motherboard, LisATX board, and card risers/extenders for diagnostics. You provide your own CPU and RAM cards. DM me if interested!
Built another 27C512 EPROM to 6309 PROM footprint adapter. This one will go in the IO board to control the floppy drive. I’m now using these small protoboards with are a good fit. I plan on adding a GAL socket to the right to make it a dual purpose adapter so both can be tested.
Well, I just placed orders for boards and parts to build a new Lisa 2/5 around my existing Lisa CPU card, the only part of a Lisa I’ve ever owned.
I would never have thought this was possible if it weren’t for the work of @DosFox who recently built the first new Lisa since 1986! Thanks for the inspiration!
I’ll continue this thread as parts roll in. I may ask (beg) if folks have some parts in your bins! 😀
Since the minimum order for PCBs was 5 and I only need one, I’ll have 4 boards each of the Apple Lisa motherboard, IO board, LisATX board, and diagnostic/riser cards to sell. I’m in USA. Send me a DM if interested!
