WebSub https://www.w3.org/TR/websub/ is something that allows for "real time" updates for RSS (you give a callback URL and everytime a feed or a matching prefix is updated, the URL is hit). That would make my attempt to parse this meaningless but I don't know how many things (like NetNewsWire) implement it and I don't want to leave those folks out.

Believe it or not, technology, from the invention of the telegraph to the damned iPhone, is inherently political and the choices made, especially in silos, are forced on everyone else.

@vantablack it IS an admission that they misgendered them unintentionally, which is very different from willingly doing so for the sake of harm.

Nah, y'all are truly built differently. Something a Black queer activist once mentioned is that when white people are able to wield any sort of oppression, instead of fighting upwards, they'll beat people below as much as possible.

A great example of this is "Adding Insult to Injury: A Case Study of the Institutional Weaponization of White Queerness" by Raxtus Bracken in Surviving the Future.

Another is "The End of Gay History, or This Is Not the World We Asked For" by Yasmim Nair in the same book about how white queers continue to interrupt progress in hopes of cementing themselves in positions of power.

This situation is a microcosm of that and it's not the queer I identify with. In the words of the East Bay, y'all are DIFFERENT.

What do you do then when people routinely negate humanity? When they do it ad nauseum? I'm still looking for the genesis point of this because it's easier to find the wall of statements from the defending party (which, NGL, is not being looked at; maybe until this is discerned then they'll look at holding that person accountable? Are they even accountable to everyone? Who IS this person?)

There's a reason only one bit of my identity is mentioned here on here and it's the one I can't really hide without a lot of bleach (and even then). There's those with identities who aren't so invisible either.

TBH, this is also part of a bigger thing with online spaces, identity management and community accountability. No one can be made to be held responsible for anyone else (there's no levers for that in our tools, that has to be done however deemed fit), most people on here might ONLY know people VIA these spaces (which creates the same paradigm akin to Stan culture in terms of folks with only a stint of understanding rushing to defend someone else). And, worst of all, IMO, people cannot be explicit and verbose in constrained mediums (with the idea of transformative justice) so it cycles more and more into resentment like none other.
