Been researching tactics Ukr. used on its latest Muscovite strikes. Big targets, hit multiple times, as the Wildberries shows below, aimed at different corners of the target to maximize odds for a catastrophic fire. Using lots of cheap decoys first, followed by more expensive Liutyi, following behind. Why the Liutyi? It's sturdier and more damage resistant, incorporating terrain-matching altitude adjustment and an autonomous, EW-proof optical navigation system.

    The plan worked masterfully.

Last call to GTFO, before the rusofascism hits full bore.

Massive lines of fuel tankers in Volgograd following targeted Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries. With supply infrastructure disrupted, Russia struggles to move fuel by road. Precision strikes continue to sever the aggressor's strategic logistics network.

...and this is why Ukraine needs more reusable LR drone bombers.

@webhat @aral If you start off by Gaza to Mosul, with a civilian-to-combatant ratio of ~2.5:1, you're setting the bar REALLY low, esp. when we know that the IDF has intentionally targeted both civilians AND journalists... not to mention the wide use of torture and rape.

Also, he's citing Israel's numbers. Investigations analyzing leaked Israeli intelligence databases (such as reports by +972 Magazine and The Guardian) indicate that the civilian death rate is closer to 83%, a ratio of **5:1**.

I'm not going to impugn Mark Koek's character, as some have done. I'm just going to say he watched Lindsey's shadow puppetry and didn't know what he was actually watching.

Lindsey was like the steam valve on a pressure cooker. It makes noises and releases occasional small bursts of steam, but meanwhile, Trump was still cooking us all in the pot.

What Lindsey did was an essential, collaborative, tightly scripted effort to ENABLE Trump to fuck Ukraine - and many others - despite public opinion.

A very significant percentage of Russia's coastal / riverine traffic for the Black Sea is going up in smoke. There won't be any such presence in a week or two worth mentioning, but these vessels play(ed) a key part in export, supply, and infrastructure. And now they're all going bye-bye, because there's nowhere safe left for most of them to hide.

Lindsey Graham Didn’t Lose His Mind. He Leased It to Trump.
      from Kristoffer Ealy
He diagnosed Trump correctly years ago. What followed was not confusion, but a fully conscious descent into sycophancy, spectacle, and war cheerleading.

No details on where tankers were attacked, or whether we're talking only re: oil & gas tankers, but this is a serious uptick that could trigger a few responses:
    - A push from EU countries to more aggressively board tankers, etc., in order to prevent potential environmental, etc. impacts from attacked and sinking tankers. (i.e. Ukraine aggressively sinking shipping impacts Europe more than simply stopping them.)
    - Insurance risks & liability removing foreign players & flags from shadow fleet.

The situation in Kaliningrad is deteriorating. In small towns in the southern parts of the region tankers with fuel until yesterday hadn't arrived in a week and a half. Public transport such as busses has been impacted and large queues have started forming around gas stations.

@skinnylatte Interesting... there are a bunch of recipes for this online, and it sounds extremely refreshing for hot weather!

Quite sourceable in S.F. too, as hibiscus is stocked by the S.F. Herb Company, which is always worth a visit for bulk spices, and can be really inexpensive, especially for their in-store discounted items.
250 14th St., just east of Mission.

@skinnylatte It's not the desert. It's the desertion.

But yeah, it can be a struggle. There's a pretty good dim sum place in Denver that I tried. It was quite small compared to the place I used to go in Milpitas, but it was pretty good at the essentials. We were seated with a father and son who immigrated from Northern Vietnam, where the father worked near Grand Junction in W. Colorado. Every few months, they'd hop on a bus to Denver for four hours, eat dim sum, hit a market, take the bus back.

@skinnylatte I am more tolerant of the giant containers of chicken broth powder in Chinese markets, or Knorr, than the salty, salty Campbell's broth...
But I suspect in HK, they would at least have the decency to modify the Campbell's broth with, say, sesame oil, ginger, green onion, etc.

Seems to me the whole trick of using ANY chicken broth, stock, powder, etc. in Chinese cooking is to not make it taste just like it would coming out of a can.

    @skinnylatte Oof!
    That's a brave culinary adventure!

(I have a thing for ridiculing horrible Asian restaurants in the US, to the point that Panda Express is actually better and more authentic than some places I find, kissing my way through frogs to find a prince.)

Worst? The now defunct Thai Paddy's in Reno, w/ Thai decor mixed with Irish.

There's a local place I tried wonton soup at, only to say, "This broth tastes like Campbell's chicken soup!"
...then I found an unstrained noodle fragment.

Yep. Noticed that a few days ago.

It kind of makes sense, in a perverse way, that they would close the banks. They don't want people pulling out all their money.

Of course, people in Crimea need to GTFO, and NEED to pull out their money in order to do so...

So, I found the source for Magyar's mention of a large Russian surrender in Southern Ukraine. He says he got the information from Operational Command "South" press service.

"Local commanders of enemy troops are giving signals about the start of surrender negotiations, turning over the weapons of their troops. It will be interesting to see whether these relatively minor commanders will be enough to organize such a large surrender of prisoners. We are talking 15-20 thousand soldiers..."

Fuel situation in Moscow is desperate. Fears of people turning on each other, siphoning their gas, getting into fights, etc.

For a lot of people, their car is their control over their reality. Threaten that, and watch people turn on each other.

So, Russia has been trying to use satellites to enable something "Starlink-like" enough to help with their communications...

Not surprising that Magyar is bragging about targeting it and inflicting damage on the facilities and equipment that might allow it to actually work.

    Too late. Ah well...😘
