This is late stage, dying social media energy, where they feel compelled to hold your friends list hostage, while exposing you to garbage news and FoxNews'esque outrage porn clickbait.

Russian soldier / milblogger reports that Ukraine dominates the short and medium range with their drones. He's starting to say things that are frankly pretty dangerous in Russia to say, but what are they going to do... send him to the front?!

Anybody who has seriously looked into Facebook's past has repeatedly been struck by the obsessive 24/7 kumbaya team building aspects of the early company. And as much as some industry professionals try to justify it all, it was literally the water that the predators swam in. And yes, there were predators.
There are, in fact, justifiable reasons you wouldn't want executives making a predator friendly cult-of-personality culture, where access comes with a price of fondleable familiarity.

You know that Russian operation going through a gas pipeline the other day?

According to the commander in charge, it wasn't a hundred troops that went in. It was 800. And only 100 came back. There were actually reports that not only was the exit sealed off on them, but that a lot of Russian troops suffocated. 😱
