Ds dropped the ball last yr as the Rs were on the defensive after a string of deadly shootings. W control of Cong/WH, Ds had the chance to fight for bills that would ban assault weapons or deploy universal background checks. Their leadership decided not to fight capitulating to moderate Rs & settle for a milquetoast legislation.

CA can have tougher gun laws but can’t bc of a right wing SCOTUS. When will Ds truly push 4 big, structural reforms instead of just tweeting about it? This is hapless.

As we reel from more mass shootings - don't forget how the right wingers on this stolen and illegitimate #SCOTUS plays a key role in enabling gun violence.
