Critical Research in Miscarriage Prevention Across all Scotland’s Health Boards
Researchers from the Universities of Aberdeen and Edinburgh are looking into the use of progesterone for early pregnancy bleeding in Scotland. Bleeding in the earliest stages of pregnancy is known as threatened miscarriage. It affects 1 in 5 pregnant women and whilst many pregnancies will continue normally, up to a third of women with early pregnancy bleeding may go on to lose the pregnancy.
