Grr, how am I supposed to write this when the @internetarchive Wayback Machine is down? Long live digital public infrastructure.

@ethanz Yeah, in different ways, and with some caveats, I think they are. At least in developer ecosystems, I think there's some really interesting loyalty dynamics at play in this industry.

Would things like Open Router, Ollama, Duck.ai, etc. count as middleware for AI? cc: @ethanz

Is there an advantage to using a tiling terminal emulator if you already have a tiling window manager?

This is hilarious, and guilty as charged, and it's a reason that the fully-foldable @frameworkcomputer 12 is great. https://www.businessinsider.com/coders-keep-laptops-open-in-public-ai-agent-2026-5

@Matt_Noyes @zhiganov TBD, I suppose. A growing share of people reaching out about my work seem to be encountering it through LLMs. A tool that helps them make better use of it is something I'm open to.

I've recently been getting a lot of brief emails that are like "I've been getting interested in your work on economic democracy [or whatever]. Can you tell me how I can learn more?"
If I reply with a further question, there is no answer.
The frequency and pattern suggests AI, but I don't understand what the scam is. Confirming email addresses maybe?
