Regarding software, I recognize that energy efficiency is a useful property in software, but I'm not entirely convinced the concept can be applied so simply to the fediverse where there are few-user instances.

.toString with radix 8
map each stripe to one of 8 deficiency-friendly colours
put it as conic gradient

crc32 because i was trying to have as short hash as possible, i'm assuming collisions are not that big of a problem
and i was just hoping to get a proof of concept done asap

finally making that foundkey patch that will add user-stable colour codes that won't change when pfps do

updated the branch with a version that uses fnv1a instead at chjara's chjuggestion, still 32-bit though
