    My partner and I went on a lovely trip to #VashonIsland to get away from the city for a couple nights. It was so nice to have some peace and quiet!

    Some scruffy middle-aged guy driving a beater pickup screamed at me to "get on the bike path!" in the most slurred voice I've heard in years, so I flipped him the bird.

    He then proceeded to turn around and say that I did it because he showed me "how smart you was." I responded by saying he shouldn't have a license if he couldn't control his temper.

    He wasn't even stuck behind me! He was going the other way! I was even pulling off the road every couple minutes of there were cars behind me that couldn't pass! #cycling #bicycle #seabikes

    After internalizing my past suffering with cold #Winter weather and the fear of #hypothermia (which I've experienced on rides: https://flic.kr/s/aHskkRDRMc ) I've fallen out of love with century-level rides during the cold season. To add to that, some of my rides towards the end of last Summer have ended up pretty disheartening.

    I think the best thing to do is to keep the rides shorter (at most a few hours) during the cold season and plan for some more interesting #S24O / multi-day rides in the future. Why try to cram all of the miles into one day when I can split things up and enjoy things more? #cycling #bicycle #bicycletouring #biketouring

    I should also find some folks to go #bikepacking with. Any takers?

    The weather here lately has been pretty unkind for outdoor activities, but I found a precipitation-free window this morning. This also gives me a chance to finally show off my #CrustRomanceur with the Rat Trap Pass Endurance tires installed. (I bought the tires several months back, but haven't ridden this bike in all that time until recently.) I also converted from fabric rim tape to tubeless rim tape, which makes getting the tires on and off MUCH easier. #cycling #bicycle #seabikes
