There's about 7 miles of freeway for my daily commute; recent lane closures have led to it running about 50-55mph (which is funny, because that's the speed limit) and it feels slow, but what's a real eye opener is it adds about 3-4mpg fuel efficiency to the route.

The gloomy weather is making people absolutely miserable. I've never seen people laying on the horn so much in all the years I've done this commute. This isn't New York, chill the fuck out.
A couple of Andalucian village scenes. Steep steps, and flowers on the window sills, all under a clear blue sky. The sweat from the climb is usually worth it. #photography#travel
A Beneteau 40.7 maneuvers under sail in the tight confines of the itchen river in Southampton Whenever I see people on a sailing boat on the water on a warm day, I have a pang of jealousy I'm not with them. #photography
Interesting watching a windows client do a full update from a fresh install in a hypervisor. What's it doing? Why is it taking so fucking long? The answer is God knows, and not much, apparently. Lots of CPU thrash but little else. I assumed I/O was always a bottleneck but there's not much going on with the storage. #sysadmin
