This is wrong on all the levels. Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has unilaterally decided to switch the Palestinian prisoners due to be released for Israeli Palestinian prisoners, against the terms of the hostage-prisoner swap agreement.

He's signalling that he thinks Israeli Palestinians all side with Hamas, and that they are Israel's enemies, even though they are all Israeli citizens.

It's no wonder they are refusing to cooperate.

You called it, but we should have all seen it coming.

Israeli hostages returning home and Palestinian prisoners returning home look the same because they are the same.

They are just people returning to their families after being caught up in a horror not of their own making.

There is hope for peace here, if we can recognize it.

While most of the world is rejoicing to see the return home of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners alike, not everybody is.

Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir is not happy that Palestinians are celebrating the return of their loved ones from detention without charge. He says the police can shut down Palestinian celebrations in East Jerusalem, where the police have a substantial presence.

“My instructions are clear: there are to be no expressions of joy,” Ben Gvir says.

The released Palestinian prisoners returning to East Jerusalem have already been banned from any public reunions as they may be a cause for celebrations or demonstrations.

Now there are reports of Israeli police entering the homes of prisoner's families homes and confiscating the sweets prepared to mark their return.

What is the Israeli government afraid of ? Is it the sweets? Is it the propaganda potential of a party?

Or is it the De-Dehumanisation of Palestinians?

Here's a report of Israeli police raiding the freed Palestinian prisoners families homes and taking the desserts away so they can't celebrate their return. No, really.

The main aim of the raids is to eject journalists from the homes and confiscate mobile phones so no reports or photos of these events can be published. They're taking the desserts just for the sake of petty evil.

The Israeli women and children who were freed by Hamas today were entirely innocent civilian victims, and I'm so glad they're home.

While this is obvious, it's just so much easier to see it when the Israeli army aren't also murdering entirely innocent civilian victims in Gaza.

The Israeli government just introduced a bill that would allow them to shoot protesters with live ammunition.

It might not have hit home to everybody just yet who the Israeli government are, so let's be clear.

We're not talking about Palestinian protestors, but Israeli protestors. It's their own people who the Israeli government wants to shoot to kill.

Israel are ordering the U.N. to leave the whole of Northern Gaza.

Everybody, and I mean everybody, needs to stop waving their flags for a second, and start thinking about just what that sentence means.

How can anybody support any of this?

The U.N. Human Rights Comission are recording war crimes by both sides in the Israel- Palestine conflict, calling for an immediate ceasefire, and a return to negotiating a peaceful, just solution.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world is going insane trying to justify picking a side.

At this point in the conflict, it's not about whether we support Israel or Palestine, it's about whether or not we support genocide and war crimes.
