@mint@ryona.agency @nihil@misskey.gg the issue is a race condition in the AMDGPU driver itself I think related to AMDKFD, ROCm and PyTorch on RX 6800 series at least. I might try ZLUDA to workaround it again which failed, or maybe I boot into Windows and use DirectML, or maybe I try to use CPU, or hell maybe I can find a backend in either OpenCL or Vulkan not sure

Finally got PonyXL to work without crashing my AMD GPU somewhat, so now I can generate Miku being fucked by a horse I guess

@mint@ryona.agency it turns out I didn't need it actually, the model I was using caused a memory leak which led me to believe I needed more memory. It was the Miqu leak which was only released in like 4 bits or something, so it was a dequantization up to fp16 but broken, found another that worked and never went above like 30GBs of RAM. But in the end it was a fruitless endeavor because the model is retarded, not only is the Japanese bad it's utterly useless in English and Japanese making complete nonsense schizo rants. It does really like the letter Q though, maybe I accidentally created that Q* thing that was fake and gay

Do you like Linux? Newer distros like Arch is a little too new wave for my tastes, but I think they really came into their own with NixOS in 2003 commercially and artistically... and by the way might I tell you about the virtues of using NixOS, immutable package management, reproducible builds, per package dependency management, and of course how could I forget a unified configuration language and update rollbacks. All of this for free, and you never have to reconfigure your system. Crazy!
