Current mood: feeling particularly intolerant for people who pronounce "habanero" as "habañero".
They're named after La Havana! You see an eñe there?

@op No, it doesn't forbid you from doing that. You're forbidding yourself. You can use GPL code in your code.
I always feel weird when people talk about how restrictive the GPL is, how it's an attack on freedom, how many restrictions it imposes.
It's just that the vagueness of it reminds me of the Southern US states talking about how their Civil War was about "states rights". A vague cause that avoids talking about the actual cause. States rights to do *what*?
So tell me, the GPL restricts you from doing *what*?
I mean, the GPL only restricts one thing: hiding source code. If that's what you want to do, just say it: you want to hide source code or you want to help other people hide source code. Just say it. Enough with the "restrictions" vagaries.
They call it Bare Knuckle in Japan, yet when you look at their knuckles...
Still thinking about how the recent #Wednesday TV adaptation of the Addams Family kinda misses the whole point of the Addams: a weird and seemingly macabre family that us ultimately kind and welcoming and sees nothing wrong with themselves.
'Tis the season to be jolly, falalalalalalala
Concentrate your attacks on Rudolph first, while your mom keeps healing the party
@schappi Radioactive bites alter DNA, so, yes?
Current situation: X-forwarding (remember that?) a browser from a remote server so I can download a file on that server without having to first download it locally and re-uploading it.
X-forwarding was such a cool idea, I wish it worked over the internet. Only ever got it working reliably on LAN, back in the day.
Coder. Mathematician. Hacker-errant.You can also email me at jordigh@octave.orgPlease say something to me before following me! I'll have to carefully scrutinise your follow request if we haven't exchanged any words, but I'll probably approve it right away if you at least say hi. It's more work for me if you request a follow without any previous interaction.I'm married; no flirting please.
