MLB hypothesis: pitch clock will lead to more injuries, especially to pitchers (and batters they hit). I suspect this will be obvious by the All Star break. Players will adjust eventually, but until then careers will be at risk.

I have been to six games since the beginning of Spring Training and watched another 25 on TV. The games are notably faster, uncomfortably so at the ballpark.

I wrote for the @latimes about lessons we should take from the collapse of SVB. Top of the list: if titans of Silicon Valley would not rally around their community’s bank, they will never prioritize the public interest. We should not trust them.

Journalists are making the same mistake with Musk that they made with Trump: covering the spectacle in a manner that allows them to be manipulated. NBC’s suspension of @oneunderscore__ is particularly dangerous because it gives the impression of a network willing to appease Musk to secure access.

Journalists cannot win by playing Musk’s game. The only way to win is not to play.
