Mini vibrator in action! Begonia pollination, super speedy time lapse. The vibration triggers the release of pollen from the male flowers which is then gathered on to a paintbrush and applied to the female flower. The male flower is also smooshed into (to use the proper technical term) the female flower just in case there are any useful loose grains of pollen to transfer that way as well. #mosstodon, it’s time for a #terrarium update ? I get to have my own private #mossyMoment every time I look to my left when I’m on/in my bed! I built this in September and am watching it grow in & fill out more & more each day! I currently have a handful of potted #begonia species/cultivars hanging out in there while I slowly plan out my next one but I moved them out the way for a photo op ?
