I hate Python so effing much.

Just once, ONE TIME, I would like to find instructions on installing something Python-based that, you know, worked.

Instead, each time, it's "Oh, you don't want to affect the system Python!!"

me: "Yes, that's why I installed a virtual environment thingy last time."

It: "Lol that is so outdated, you need a different virtual environment thingy now! 🥰 "

Me: "Sure, let's just trowel on another layer of cruft. Pretty sure my virtual environments are nested eighteen deep by now."

@welshpixie Serious answer: American toxic-masculinity types who so regularly use homophobic slurs that they actually have to go to a different vocabulary if they want to accuse someone of/insult someone for being gay. I didn't even literally parse it as homophobic when I first saw it, it's so "just part of the baseline homophobia" thing for those types.

Rednecks and channers, in other words.

@hypolite Take a moment for a little self-examination.

You jumped on a stranger's post to tell her she was wrong, and you got both of the "corrections" wrong (reread the post, safety EQUIPMENT, and ask yourself what I might be talking about).

And now you're desperately back-pedaling with a SUV vs. sedan thing (hey guess what, my original post was just "why SUVs all look alike," sedans don't even enter into that equation) because reply-guys can't ever back down, it's like their whole identity.

@hypolite The flat front is not non-aerodynamic, surprisingly enough, and safety is a lot more than the higher center of gravity and if you looked into it you might discover that safety *equipment* has a great deal of influence on vehicle shape. But sure, parachute into my mentions to tell me I'm wrong.

This is a few years old but explains why I keep trying to get into other people's cars.

(Okay, only twice, after that I started checking the license plate.)

I mean, I get that (1) aerodynamics and (2) safety equipment and (3) human shapes and quantities are going to lead to convergent evolution, but whew.
