@klardotsh ok so basically stimulants are sometimes used to medicate neurology issues, which is why I asked. While quitting caffeine is great, it might be the equivalent of not taking your medication, which is a completely different way of framing it. And you might get a lot of unhelpful advice of the "just use a planner ?" variety because people will hone in on the fact you're quitting caffeine and overlook the effect of ADD etc when doling out the well meaning advice

Totally worth it though. It's one of those ones the benefits keep get better over super long periods of time. I did rely a lot of decaff to taper off though, mostly for the placebo effect

Christmas display name (nuala@toot.wales)'s status on Saturday, 18-Feb-2023 15:20:33 JST Christmas display name @klardotsh I'm not sure how to explain it. I think it's a bit like asking a smoker when the feeling of having a cigarette comes back. Caffiene is a quick fix or a workaround, and you'll probably have been using it to mask something else that's the problem. For me I get lots more done consistently but look more sluggish?
Do you have any neurology conditions? If you have something like ME, narcolepsy, or ADHD, you'll want to be careful about dropping a stimulant out of your diet.

Things like going for a walk, having a cold shower, drinking a pint of squash, quick head massage, eat a spicey meal, focus playlists etc.
