I am at a loss to explain otherwise normal Americans who talk about Trump like “no we’ve cast of the yoke of the democrats, he can finally clean up politics and put everything right!” They talk about him like he’s a saviour or a knight and I’m like “have you ever heard him speak?? Do you somehow not know he’s a convicted felon?? He’s going to hurt A LOT of people! AGAIN! He’s not a hero, he’s a weird lazy grifter and couldn’t make it more obvious if a million bucks were riding on it!

I still find it shocking that while the UK handwrings about puberty blockers (used for over 30 years), Ozempic and others are touted as panaceas. No long-term research, never mind they just make you slightly nauseous all the time, who cares they're expensive and so what they completely undermine what little body positivity we have going on. None of that shit matters because THEY MAKE YOU THIN AND OMFG FAT IS BAD. Being fat is not the worst thing that can happen to you.

Every day a new study pops up saying weight-loss drugs cut your risks of cancer, or risk of heart disease or or fucking or. These studies are breathlessly reported, no questions about whether they are *repeatable* or *long term* or even WHO IS SPONSORING THEM. Nope, just see here fatties take your injections and jus be NORMAL like the rest of us you ugly, horrible, lazy people!

We were close to accepting people at different sizes and seeing the innate beauty in everyone.

But no, thank FUCK Capitalism came along and shot that in the head. Now pay £250 a month for an injection. I tried it, it was ruinously expensive, destroyed my appetite and made me sick all the time. It was impossible to derive any pleasure from any food or food-adjacent gathering (like dinner or a meal out). Sticking needles of medicine nicked from diabetics isn't the answer, accepting your body, your age and your mortality and choosing what's best for you is the answer.
