If Trump guts the DoE, I'd really like to see Blue States take the lead on marketing themselves as a better place for kid's education (which they mostly are). They'll still have their own DoEs with better standards. Siphon off parents with remote jobs in red states.

Run ads "Your kids can get a better ed in Massachusetts than they can in Mississippi". Even make online programs for homeschool families if they can't move. Let them spend their vouchers in other states.
