For #MeerMittwoch here's the first time we visited the Netherlands in 2017 on the approach to the locks at IJmuiden to allow us to cruise along the North Sea Canal to Amsterdam. There's an apocalyptic industrial beauty to scenery like this.

The beersofmastodon group - and all groups on the gup.pe server - were shut down last year when the domain expired and was grabbed by someone else.

Catching up with a quiz programme and there was a question about which dinosaur was minted on a UK coin in 2020. The contestant, given a choice of three, said: "I don't think it's the brontosaurus, that's too big" which caused me to shout "It's not to scale!" and set my wife off into hysterics.

We're in the middle of Operation Empty The Freezer Because It Needs A Good Defrosting right now (a catchier name for the operation is being looked into) but this does mean we're getting to eat some fabulously eclectic meals at the moment. "What's in this bag? When did we buy these? Why have we got three packs of this?" Part of me thinks we should defrost more often just to add some meal variety to dinner times.

I've very much enjoyed the injection of energy from the #Forkiverse crowd over the last few days. Nice to have some new kids on the block giving #BeigeParty a challenge for the quirky takes we need to dilute the feeds from all the foul outside world stuff that sometimes threatens to dominate.

My niece has #detention for running out of a class in #school, and her mum is apparently not happy. Because I'm sure she never got detention at school.

I had loads of detentions. My favourite one was the last day of term one year when I and a couple of other boys who'd not turned up for the end-of-year play were given detention after school by the English teacher.

A few classes later, the whole class was given detention by the French teacher.

We raised our hands.

Images all look AI garbage. Text all looks AI garbage.

Accounts "chatting" to each other. Highly suspect.
