@anemone @tante The point isn't perfect enforcement I would think. I would suppose, the point is to have a policy to point to when someone sends you a vibed PR, so that we don't need to relitigate it every time. You simply tap the sign. Plenty of rules exist for purposes like this.

While it may be "unenforceable" any reduction in the deluge is probably worth it, because right now it is a DDoS on many maintainers brains.

@anemone @tante I don't think that will be the case, but I could be wrong. No AI policies have been working okay on the servers represented in my fedi feed... They aren't perfect, but I almost never interact with the slop, and when I do, I can report it.

I think it is most likely to be a community pruning force. If someone does not feel welcome, because they want to fire around merde requests at the speed of slop, they probably won't end up on codeberg.

I would say it's more a problem of what metric you prune on... and also no amount of pruning will turn lead to gold.

The underlying structure is definitely wrong. I don't think you can prune this thing into having a meaningful internal representation.

Admittedly, we outsource a lot of cognitive load to these textual relations, and LLMs have tapped lots of it. But it doesn't go far enough without a useful representation underneath it.

But ya, it's close enough to think of it as an allergy. From what I'm reading. I don't think it's quite as clear cut as some allergies though, because it does have some pharmacological uses. It is mostly inert, but your body does actually interact with it in ways related to your immune system even if you aren't allergic it seems?

@jernej__s @thomasfuchs yes and no, gold can be very toxic surprisingly, but it's more related to immune system dysfunction it seems. It's quite inconsistent, and not directly correlated to concentration.

@thomasfuchs I want to know how we plan to cure the goose's extreme heavy metal poisoning. Is the plan to let it keep laying eggs hoping it will expel all the heavy metal that way?
