The fact that business owners fought to keep remote work from being more widely adopted is a fucking tragedy. Remote work solved so many problems i.e. less greenhouse gases, less traffic (which means less strain on infrastructure), more money circulating in smaller towns, less wasted time commuting for employees (which also means less money being wasted on gas) etc. But nope, we gotta justify these buildings somehow.

I feel like even the people who I considered to be rational voices on Twitter have gone off the deep end when it comes to lapping up misinformation and it's just really depressing.

Ya know, there are a lot less people spiraling on the fediverse compared to Twitter lol.

What's the worst thing that your boss has ever done? Mines would probably be the time I worked for a law firm and the owner wanted us to clear out the upstairs of a dusty ass building that he owned to look scrounge for office supplies (literally not in my job description at all) and as we're clearing things out he tells us that they're going to come back and clean up the asbestos in a few days.

So I see everyone who was "over covid" is suddenly sick over the holidays.

I know there's been a pretty huge masking stigma as it pertains to COVID, but has anyone ever gotten a negative reaction when you will only want to be present in certain spaces I.e. no crowds, no confined spaces if possible with terrible ventilation, etc?
