Took a break to go see my favorite masked friend at the cane juice stand and she surprised me with an orchid in my lemonade 🥰

I'd just realized that I spent the last three weekends doing hours and hours of covid crisis counseling for people exposed, positive, have pos relatives, or lost someone to covid/LC, when the Whole Foods deli guy started lecturing me about how covid is over and we don't wear masks anymore

Asked 3 Walgreens pharmacy staff when they might get #novavax

First said "Covid is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY" and walked away.

Second didn't know what I meant, got a manager.

Manager corrected me, said "The shot isn't called that. It's called COMIRNATY. Pfizer." And walked away.

@feld I'm deeply sorry about your father and I'm sorry if my summary line was insensitive. I will own that.

My reasoning came from this quote (also in the abstract), which was further down in the post you pulled my summary line from: “We can infer that SARS-CoV-2 promotes the aggregation of α-Syn and, ultimately, leads to Parkinson’s disease through at least two mechanisms.”

I have studies on covid and Parkinson's using data going back to 2020, if you're interested I'm happy to share links.
