In 2021, MLB moved its All-Star game from GA to protest of the state’s voter suppression law because MLB “fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box.” In 2024, it will hold it in TX, the state with literally the worst voter suppression laws in the country.

The end game for the Republicans is to shape who can vote and how ballots are counted. We need to protect the voting process from registration to certification.

It is not the job of the dissent to make the majority opinion seem reasonable. That is the job of the majority. If six justices can’t convince the American public that their decisions are consistent with the U.S. Constitution and the proper judicial function, that is a failure of the majority alone.
