I still have to blame scientists and doctors, though, because what are they saying? "RFK Jr is an ignorant fool. We are scientists and we say vaccines are safe and effective!"

IOW: "OBEY US! WE ARE AUTHORITIES!"

And what do we get? Rebellion, of course. And an ignorant population, whom these unthoughtful authorities just MOCK!

What they SHOULD be telling us is the damn truth—

IT IS THE NATURAL FUNCTION OF MEASLES TO KILL CHILDREN. When many children die of measles, that is Nature at work.

RFK simply made up this factoid. He simply made it up. It is make believe.

(What Jamelle Bouie said also was stupid. To quote it added nothing to the article, either.)

The question to ask yourself is: do you want to leave that to Nature, or do you want to vaccinate your child?

For RFK Jr. is ignoring the plain truth apparent in the wild world—that, left to Nature, children get killed off quite freely. Immune systems and other defenses serve ONLY to ensure that a fraction survive to form a next generation.

But our doctors also ignore this. Instead they go: "SCIENCE! PROVEN SAFE! DO WHAT WE SAY OR WE WILL MOCK YOU FOR YOUR IGNORANCE!"

    So I blame them.

This may be the beginning of the end of Musk and DOGE: https://mstdn.social/@knittingknots2/114053738896145936

It has to come sometime, because the whole thing is illegal, and a POTUS simply is not powerful enough to make it last.

This is not Weimar Germany. Weimar Germany's constitution, believe it or not, actually gave Hitler the power to turn it into a dictatorship. All he had to do was use his paramilitaries to control the legislative vote.

The U.S. doesn't give Trump this power, and he has no paramilitaries.

I am sick of "science based medicine" and its failure to get people to use measles vaccines. What they do is say "It is science. We are scientists. Obey!" This is more and more the approach of our "science" community, as our intellectual culture degenerates. And of course there is backlash.

Measles vaccine can be explained by COMMON SENSE. But only if you understand natural selection, which our "science" hashtaggers usually do not. They think it works like evolution in STTNG.

Fortunately evolving into "energy beings" as in Star Trek and 2001: A Space Odyssey is an extremely stupid idea. And it has nothing to do with natural selection. Science fiction, including "hard" SF such as Ben Bova, usually rejects Darwin. Life comes about merely because there is a space for it to fill. That is, for a "final cause" (Aristotle's "telos"). Science fiction writers are unwitting contributors to measles misinformation.

Natural selection is easy to understand.

The first thing, though, to point out about measles, is something oddly not widely mentioned. MEASLES DESTROYS A KID'S IMMUNE SYSTEM. So, instead of strengthening your kid's immune system by letting them catch measles, you are setting them back to square one.

It is not an ongoing destruction, like AIDS. But it is not what you thought was going on. You are NOT strengthening your kid's immune system.

Contrary to common myth, the MMR vaccine is not a cocktail of three viruses. It is a cocktail of no viruses. The viruses are inactivated. Thus, the child or adult receiving the vaccine will catch none of the diseases. They will merely, hopefully, become immune to them. Their immune systems will be strengthened—perhaps that's why the site of the shot gets sore, etc. It is an immune reaction.

I feel like mentioning some of the obvious reasons there cannot possibly be such a thing as "quantum" physics distinct from "classical" physics. I do not care that the entrenched establishment says otherwise. They are not very intelligent.

Even intelligent persons get sidetracked into the "debate" system—they read what the unintelligent persons write and fashion responses. It would be better NOT to read the unintelligent papers, for they mislead.

So, anyway, here are some of the obvious reasons there can be no such thing as "quantum" physics.

The first is that quantum mechanics is a hodgepodge of mathematical methods, and far from being a fundamental branch of mathematics. Therefore the claim that there are physics problems that require quantum mechanics for their solution is false on its face.

Anyone presenting "Bell's theorem" would, in any other field, be laughed out of the room for screwing up Bayes' rule. In physics, when the exceptions to Bell's theorem" are pointed out—thus proving it is not a theorem—they are called "loopholes".

Of course it is inflammatory to say someone is unintelligent, but politeness is used as a weapon in the style of physics prose. One is disallowed to call idiotic notions idiotic, and magical reasoning magical, even though in any other field they would be laughed at.

@br00t4c Palmer is performing a shallow analysis. For instance, Trump does not think Hannibal Lecter is real. Rather, Trump brings up that bad joke at random, having no sense of where it actually ought to go in a speech or if at all. Also, "senile" is not an appropriate term, because a young person with dementia would be no better. Just use the term "dementia".

Musk definitely is not doing the best thing to stay copacetic with Trump, however, which is to be INVISIBLE, so he can't fire you.

@AnOldGuy @VedaDalsette The United States is on the cusp of becoming majority non-white. California, by far the most populous state, already has done so.

There is a desperation afoot to prevent the change happening, and at least to establish a Jim Crow-like, white supremacist social order ahead of it happening. That is what Trump is a figurehead for.

People think it is a cult of Trump. I doubt it. Trump is just a face on a label. The Hate will survive Trump's dementia decline.
