@kris@outmo.de interesting. I don't fully understand the protocol as I'm still in the process of reading the related docs bur iiuc the server needs to handle managing and discovering spaces. Does it use some preexisting mechanism to do that?

Discord is my most used app and I hate it. Matrix has a whole host of issues and I'm done with it. IRC is fine but it's no discord.

Clearly we need to bring back XMPP :laughing_cirno:

But honestly that wouldn't be a bad idea. If I get some free time I might try to make a discord like XMPP client.
