@Suiseiseki @tyil @xmpp @jrballesteros05 Last I checked, XMPP support in Pidgin was in a very poor state. Pidgin 3 is supposed to improve things, but until thenโฆrecommending Pidgin as an XMPP client will just give people a bad impression of XMPP.

@hellomiakoda I only have XMPP clients installed. I can join any IRC channel from XMPP, thanks to Biboumi. Most Telegram rooms Iโm in are bridged to Matrix, and I can join any Matrix room with Bifrรถst. Iโm also in an XMPP channel bridged to Discord.

Also, people are now quitting #Telegram because of their AI bullshit. Like any #centralized platform, it was bound to abuse its users sooner or later. #Federated protocols like #XMPP are the only sensible option.
