The legality of "all assets, no liabilities" aside, why is refunding customers not on the table?
The company acquiring screwed up big time. I get that a $30-$40 lifetime subscription is ponzi-scheme levels of mismanagement.
But, if lifetime subscriptions are unsustainable and they were sold that cheap, just refund the customers the full amount they paid.
Google for all the things they've done wrong, when they shut down Stadia and refunded all purchases, they got that right.
