I'm disgusted, scared, sad, and hopeless about the world in which we live in. The bad actors who choose to terrorize others do so because they never learned how to express their feelings and/or no listened to them when they were hurting. While we certainly can't condone the wrong-doers, yet celebrating their punishment is also a loss for humanity. Improving the world around us doesn't seem to be enough.

It's just getting worse.

What can we do?

There are people with opinions on pretty much everything. I can’t keep up. I am empath so I get drained if I follow along. And I am afraid I am simply going to get numb and not be able to care about people and things that matter to me.

It’s at the point where I start hating.

The best thing for me to do is to probably just disengage, disconnect and isolate.

Seeing people argue, call each other out, and fight over everything is mentally taxing to follow, let alone simply witness.

Fewer things interest me these days.

People are bringing followers along so everything will seem rosy at the moment.

Just wait until someone fails to validate your point.

I bet the same defense mechanism will kick in, no matter where you are.

This weekend had to be one of the worst to be on Twitter. So understandably, people are leaving.
But, it appears to most that social media is nothing more a platform for receiving validation from people who agree with you, so once you get disagreements, things will flare up.
