I am going to Paris for a month to dog sit. I'll be there starting tomorrow through Christmas, New Year's, and my Birthday. I'll be leaving Paris on January 4.

Loading the dishwasher, packing groceries, etc., is just live action tetris.

My retirement has gone down 5% since the inauguration, while prices have gone up about that much since then. Eggs are hard to find. Institutions that keep us safe have been decimated to a point where we are unsure if it's safe to fly within the continental USA.

Mexico already has 10K troups at the southern border (a peaceful, tariff-free Biden accomplishment). This whole thing was to keep our attention focused on tariffs / int'l non-issues while non-elected nor appointed project 2025ers decimate our institutions and freedoms.

My mother, like the prez, has narcissistic personality disorder. People with NPD are never, ever satisfied.

The lesson I learned and want to share is to never give an inch. It is impossible to appease the unappeasable. There is no use trying, especially if you have to give up your mores and values to do so.

Industry leaders will hopefully learn this quickly. They have all bent the knee and kissed the ring. What they don't realize is the appeasement is always very, very temporary.

The media needs to stop referring to Brian Thompson as a healthcare executive. He was an insurance executive; a corporate exec in a capitalist society.

Yes, some very real crimes are happening in corporate America, but it's the corporations themselves committing the largest financial crimes. Want to reduce the $ lost to crime? Go after corporations. They're responsible for the majority of criminal financial losses in the USA. Let's focus on that.

Since the industrial revolution, industry has not been responsible for the side effects of their products. They are able to be profitable because it's future generations that will have to foot the bill for handling the waste and the side effects of that waste.

Current generations are footing the bill for some past industry behaviors, but the worst is yet to come. And we see it coming. But in the name of profits, we're doing virtually nothing about it.
