@NanoRaptor As drive prices or availability fluctuate due to pandemics or 2011 Thailand flood ruining HD factories (that was a doozy), it's wise to have loose spares around.
I have one of those bare drive "toasters" for that very reason.

@NanoRaptor I'm pretty good about cycling drives after 3-5 years of constant use just to avoid sudden failures, but I still keep all working drives around as extra backups, emergency extra storage, etc.
I've got a few that are easily 15 years old that show no signs of failure. Not sure what the on-times are. I should look that up.
