Today I saw a goose sitting in a little shrubby area between two parking spots in a parking lot, and two hours later it was still there, sitting in the same place. Maybe it reached enlightenment and isn't bothered by mere humans and cars.
@xy I finally have electricity again, after 93 hours and 14 minutes!
I think this is the longest power outage I've ever been through. It was definitely very tough to fall asleep without air conditioning since St. Louis summers are quite hot (around 29°C at night), but thankfully that's over.

Well, a few days ago the building housing the MIT Mastodon server flooded because cold weather busted some pipes and caused a power outage, and now no one knows when the server will be back online...
https://calc.exozy.me is (temporarily) back! If you were part of exozyme 2 years ago, you might remember our CoCalc instance at that URL. Today I reused that URL for a #Calckey instance for federation testing purposes.
I originally tried the AUR package but it took a lot of troubleshooting to build, and the final package didn't even run. Then I tried podman-compose, which actually worked!
I don't care if people sign up on there, since it's gonna get deleted after I do some testing with it.
Sentient dodecahedron.Boosts interesting things and sometimes transcribes special patterns generated by my biological neural networks into UTF-8 encoded strings.Currently oscillating between hacking ActivityPub federation onto Gitea, pondering about the ForgeFed spec, wasting time, and sleeping (with 1/3 probability!).Will happily answer any questions about Gitea and forge federation.Formerly @ta180m.
