LeKukie's been having a rough time of it. A storm ripped the roof right off his family's house. Kosmic did a GFM to help out and it was a huge success, but I imagine something like that takes time to fix.

I'd honestly be really happy with LeKukie getting it; dude's had quite the journey journey just getting to this point

I've seen a lot of comments from people who are impressed with how long and content-rich Enigma Heart's demo is. And honestly, I never even thought of it like that. End of the first chapter, where the stakes are truly set for the adventure to come, just felt like the natural stopping point. And to my mind, two hours doesn't feel like a particularly long time.

Are demos typically, like, super short or something? 😅

Have I accidentally recreated the Doom situation where the shareware version is so good that a lot of people never bought the game because after beating Knee-Deep in the Dead they felt like they had "finished Doom"?

I mean, nice problem to have, I suppose lol

"Lesbian Zelda 2" is a great hook and always will be, but I can already see Enigma Heart growing and evolving and forming its own identity, such that doesn't have to be the only way I market it. It's got it's own voice, I think.

Enigma Heart broke 2,000 wishlists today, which is about as good as I could have hoped for. I feel cautiously optimistic going into Next Fest.

Enigma Heart just hit 1,900 wishlists! Think we can get it to 2,250 by my birthday on Friday next week? :D

How do y'all feel about non-customizable controls in games?

As a dev, I've always subscribed to the idea that the player is god and they should be able to configure the inputs to any input scheme they want. But I'm playing a game right now where the controls are fixed and the "Controls" section of the Options menu is merely for showing you what the controls are. And apparently this is normal?

I really don't like asking, but things are getting extremely tight for my wife and me while I continue pitching Enigma Heart to publishers and looking for a backup job at the same time. (Luck hasn't been so great on that front.) We're close to running out of savings, and rent and food are coming due.

Enigma Heart 0.0.67.02 is now uploaded to Steam! I'll be updating the Google Drive standalone links in a few minutes, for anybody who opted for those.

EDIT: I did my best to preserve the integrity of save files, but it's possible I may have missed something. I recommend deleting your old saves if anything misbehaves.
